Carolyn's Ham Stew

Ingredients:

• 2 lbs piece ham or 4 cups cubed ham, about 1 inch cubes
• 2 (16 ounce) bags frozen green beans
• 3 medium onions, cut in chunks
• 6 cups water
• 6 medium potatoes, quartered
• salt
• pepper

Steps:

1. Put the ham, beans, onions and water in a large dutch oven and cook for 1 hour.
2. Add Salt and Pepper to taste - be careful not to oversalt - the ham will add to salt.
3. Add the potatoes and continue cooking for about 20 minutes, until potatoes are fork soft.
