Easy Maple Butter Sauce
Description: This is a quick and easy sauce to serve over ice cream or pound cake. Add some chopped toasted walnuts or pecans to finish.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup maple syrup, not pancake syrup
- 1 tablespoon butter, not margarine
- 2 tablespoons whipping cream
Steps:
- In a small saucepan bring maple syrup and butter to a boil over medium heat.
- Boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Cool to room temperature.
- Whisk in cream.
- Store in the refrigerator.
