Description: These crisp, dome shaped cookies have been a favourite in my home for years. They were first made as a dad-pleaser and have since become husband-and-son-pleasers, too! This recipe can be halved with success.
Ingredients:
250 g butter
200 ml sugar
2 eggs
5 tablespoons lyle's golden syrup
4 (250 ml) flour
5 ml bicarbonate of soda
30 ml ground ginger
10 ml ground cinnamon
5 ml ground cloves
125 ml extra sugar, for coating
Steps:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Beat eggs and syrup together.
Beat in butter.
Sift in dry ingredients and mix well.
Scoop out tablespoonsful of dough and coat in sugar.
