| "Casa de Grillos" or "Criket's House" was a project in the radio soap opera format that I developed to be broadcasted all over Peru trough the peruvian Legal Defense Institute, IDEELE. The main characters are Don Pepe Grillo, an old man, former school teacher who do not have any fear to denounce or express his positions against injustice, abuses or excess, no matter if they are in a home, by the State or by Institutions. Don Pepe lives in a humble house with his beloved wife who he lovely call "My Gordita". This good woman shares Don Pepe's ideals and even more, she is the one who exposes the injustices that she's witness and most of the times is the one with their feets very well placed in the ground. Some friends of the neighborhood were the Grillo's live are part of the cast. Between them is Donna Iris, an extremely vivacious "Charapa", as the people born in Peru's jungle area are called, who also have a great sense of humor and two sons living in the U.S.A., Hamilton and Winston. The young grandson and grandaughter of Don Pepe and the Gordita do periodic apperances. Both are tenacious students and workers who many times share and participate in the ideas and civic initiatives or their grandfather and grandmother. To develope this Radio Show I had the colaboration of many exceptional, talented and hilarious people to whom I keep an special place in my heart. Nani Pease, my wife in the real life, was the voice of "La Gordita" (However she have an atonishing beauty figure). Carla Fajardo, who now lives in Uganda and is a top specialist in international conflict resolution was the voice of. Glatzer Tuesta y Silvia, two members of the Ideele's team, did the voices of the grandson and grandaughter. However, this skillfulled friends also bring their voices to many characters of the show. My infinite thanks to them for their ideas, support and talent. By the way, the voice of Don Pepe Grillo belongs to this, your humble servant.
