Crazy for Cows
This is our cow cut and paste activity.
Ms. Chang, our teacher candidate, demonstrated how to milk a cow. To create the udder, she filled a latex rubber glove with water and poked a tiny hole in one of the fingers. The children had an opportunity to "milk our cow".
For every unit, I create word cards for the writing centre. This encourages the children to write their favourite farm animal words onto writing paper, make little books or write a story.
On our trip to the farm, Suzanne, our guide, dressed up one of the children like a cow. She has 2 hard horns, 2 ears, a long sandpaper tongue, a large nose, a "fly-swatter" tail, an udder, a leather coat and 4  hooves.
Here is the cow and her calf who live at Forsythe Family Farm. "Moo, moo", said the cow and her calf.
