"Hello, my name is Professor McGongall. If you would follow me, I will take you into the Great Hall for the sorting."
She led everyone in to a giant room. It looked like most of the school was sitting at four large tables. You look over the crowed of first years and see a old, patched wizards hat sitting on a stool in the middle of the four tables.
"Put on the sorting hat and sit on the stool. When the hat tells you the name of your house, please go and sit at your table," Professor McGongall says over some excited voices. She starts calling out strange names like Pladly Doman, and other not-so-strange names like Jimmy Brown. Finally, it's your turn. You nervusly pick up the hat and put in on.
