| Finlay was one of Irene's biological children. As Irene was an alcoholic Fin had to take over all the chores in the house. She was bright and intelligent and really wanted to be a doctor but didnt have much of a start to life. She knew if she stayed at home she would never become a doctor , what she really wanted to do so she left home at the age of 17 to somewhere closer to schooling. She ran out of money in that lil ole town of Summer Bay but was determined to get a job enroll in school and find a place to stay. She hid out in a boat rented by 2 men of the bay Lou and Nick who found her there. She was put in the care of the Rosses. |
| Her brother Damien came to find her and ask her to come back but she refused and instead persuaded him into running away. Irene came to the bay looking for them and fell down the stairs blaming Fin and Damien for pushing her when they didn't. Irene returned to the bay alcohol free and hoping to get her family back. She got her wish eventually and was even asked to be the surrogate mother of Fin's baby. She gladly obliged. Fin moved away with her husband and kid and is still talked about in the bay by her loving mother. |
