In 1993, two young highschool graduates from Demak, named H and C got accepted in a college called STTT in Bandung. They moved in, and try to find themselves a proper boarding, and fate brought them to a small house in 12th Main Adhyaksa Street (notice that at that time, it's so hard to find a proper boarding house in a reasonable price). They shared room together, and later accompanied by two other youngsters, named P and M. The following year, the boarding expanded into six rooms, and there comes three newcomers, F, I, and A. A is a senior and he graduates the following year. F and M left in 1995, and then comes D, Hr, Cy, and Ad. The later three left in 1996, H left earlier, folowed by P. In 1996, there's only C, I, and D. And then, comes six (yes, six!) newcomers in 1997, E, Af, Y, Dd, Im, and Mf. Im, Dd, and Mf left in 1998, and S comes in, until now. This September 2000, Y has just left.
Our accomplishment started back in 1994 when two of us joined the protocol squad in our college celebration. Later in 1995 Inaguratuion for the newcomers, we placed 6 members in the commitee. Then, two years in a row, we send our member to join the commitee of Electrical Engineering Yearly Seminar (B-ISDN and PCN). Two years in a row our member become the head of student senate (1995-1996). In 1997, our member become the head of student board of representative. Since 1995-1999, any of our members always join the Inaguration Commitee. Not to mention two years serving in the Bandung Youth Philatelist Association (PPRB). Our member also become the candidate in the election for the Industrial Engineering Student Association (HMTI) in 1996, and later another member managed to be the general secretary of HMTI in 1999. On last year's general election, one of our member served as a campaign officer for one of the participant. Up till now, one of our member still served as the vice president of the Student Executive Board. And also an active participation in the Electrical Engineering's Workshop.
And that's not all, and we simply called it a coincidence, right? Well, let's see, in April 1999, Zenith Computer Systems was born. Two of our members and ex-members joined the team. Earlier, our ex-member formed Ultra Prima Computer and another one joined the Penguin group. In August, one of our member built up Teloer Internet Rental, and later joined the Comtronics Systems after taking another member to join the team. The rest of the members and ex-members formed Telematics Indonesia in October.
And where the hell is Ad-12 stands for? Well, it doesn't (actually) stands for anything. It's just my version of how we call this kind of association between the members and ex-members of the Adhyaksa 12 group. Ad-12 is my pick because of the simplicity and ease of spell and call. The word "Labs" means that this group will continue to dig, explore, and enquire our potentials, since we share common interest in Telecommunications and Information Technology. But, don't be mistaken, we also enjoy reading about anything other than science and technology. We have this kind of library consists of philosophy, education, social, culture, and art books that we enjoy very much. We call it "Balancing of two sides of the brain".
Well, for the conclusion, let's draw a line and I will tell a little tale about anyone of us now and what we're doing :
And believe me, the story has not ended yet and will go on and
on...
