However, it is different from this shop in Yogyakarta. The shop does not offer coffee, but offers local Indonesian tea. The shop is known as Kedai Lokal Ti which is located in the Sleman area, precisely on Jalan Damai.

To detikcom (12/02) Argadi as the owner of Local Tavern Ti mentioned that there are about 30 local Indonesian tea brands in the shop. Not only from Yogyakarta, but also other areas such as Solo, Sumatra, Kalimantan and others.

“We have around 30 brands of tea. But there are around 40 of them. There are black tea, jasmine tea and many more,” said Argadi.

This local Ti shop was first established in 2015. Furthermore, Arga also recounted the beginning of establishing this tea shop. Starting from him who has his own interest in local Indonesian tea.

“At first I was a tea fan. And my thesis was also about tea. So, I decided to open it because I wanted to see the tea phenomenon,” said Arga.

Because all this time, he always saw tea served as a complementary drink when eating. And no one really drinks tea to enjoy the aroma and taste of tea.

There are many menus offered at this shop, some are packaged in bottles and some are in glasses. The menu includes Former Manten, Lik Yadi, Mba Winarsih, Medan Tarik Tea, Lychee Tea, Naga Malang and many more.

The price offered ranges from IDR 7,000 to IDR 20,000. Meanwhile, for the food menu, there are only snack menus such as fried bananas, fried potato tempeh, and walik tofu.

Not inferior to coffee shops, teahouse it also has a contemporary building style. Even the shop is popular as a hangout for millennial kids. There are two areas there, outdoor and indoor.

“Millennial kids who dominate hang out here. So, there are those who are tea lovers, there are also those who just hang out wanting to know how tea tastes like,” said Argadi.

In addition, visitors can also choose to sit on a chair or sit on a chair that is more relaxed. It’s even more exciting, because the shop provides various games that visitors can use there.

This shop remains open in the midst of a pandemic, of course, by implementing government-regulated health protocols. This local Ti shop also offers delivery orders for certain menus.
