Love is not a prize to be won Love is given freely from the heart of one Love is not the 'needing' of another someone It is sharing and wanting and kindness' done Love can not place upon one another demands Let be our own creation of beautiful desires Love can not insure us certain rules and rights Yet it can guide our hopes and dreams, warm our nights. Love is the basis of sacrifice And a precious treasure through which we gain Love is not a war with strategic plans, Love is a friend walking hand in hand Love is accepting our ever-changing reason Love shall withstand the time of many seasons Love grows on freedom, trust and respect The sharing of sweet honesty with no regrets Love can not live on jealousy, hurt and fears Love is a cradle of support through lives long years.
