This was one of the first soundtracks that I ever bought. I got it for Christmas and since it was Christmas time, I enjoyed listening to it as it set the mood for the season. However, around April when I decided to listen to it, the same emotional feeling wasn't there. Plus the fact that you're listening to Christmas songs reminds you that Christmas isn't until the end of the year. Be that as it may, don't misinterpret my comments as sounding to be against the score. It is an excellent Christmas score, and sets the mischievious mood well. It skips along while Culkin toys with the robbers, but breaks into full, emotionally bursting carols. William's song Somewhere in my Memory, is charming and cute. Together with the carols, it works great in the film and during the holiday season in general. The main down point of this score is the fact that it just doesn't work if you listen to it during the summer months. Otherwise, it is a warm-hearted, loving but mischevious John Williams score.
