Continuing on after writing the unforgettable score for First Blood, Jerry Goldsmith continues on with the sequel. While keeping the main theme from the first film to maintain continuity, Goldsmith also introduces the Peace In Our Life theme. And while it does have its softer pieces, such as with Stories, there is no doubting that this is a pure action score. And like many of his better contemporaries, he establishes the main theme of the movie and returns to it throughout the soundtrack to not only maintain continuity, but to also give us insight into the tone of the scene based solely on the style of the music.
