2-cups sugar

1-cup (packed) light brown sugar

1/2-cup water

1/4-cup light corn syrup

1-tsp vinegar

1/2-tsp salt

(1) 6-ounce package butterscotch-flavored morsels

1-cup coarsely chopped walnuts

1/4-cup hot water



Combine sugars, water, syrup, vinegar and salt in 2-quart saucepan. Cook for about 15 minutes over moderate heat, stirring up from bottom constantly to completely dissolve sugar. Boil over high heat for about 3 minutes; do not stir. Remove from heat. Add butterscotch morsels; beat by hand for 3 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes or until lukewarm. Add walnuts and water; stir to blend. Drop by tablespoonfuls on waxed paper-lined cookie sheet. Decorate with walnut halves. Chill until firm. Makes 3 dozen.
