| Kastle Keeshonden is proudly owned by Michael and Anna Marie Head. Shortly after the birth of our first child in 1994, Michael and I decided we were ready for a family dog/show puppy. We had settled on the Keeshond for their elegance and beauty, their devotion to the family and their love for kids. After several months of researching the breed, attending some dog shows and speaking ot various local breeders, we decided on "Dakota", a beautiful male Kees from the Windrift Kennel. Joanne Reed of Windrift Keeshonden was very helpful and supportive of me wanting to learn to handle the dog in the ring myself and shared her knowledge of the breed with me as Dakota matured. I would like to make a special mention of some of my mentors who have helped and continue to help me in learning the breed standard, grooming for show, and how to handle my own dog in the ring. They are Joanne Reed of Windrift Keeshonden, Jan Corrington of Kemont Kees, Kris Arnds of Winsome Keeshonden, Rita Jacobs of Designer Kees. After earning a Professional Certification in Animal Health Technology from the University of Georgia and a Professional Certificate of Completion of All-Breed Grooming, I have been able to establish Kastle Dog Grooming/Kastle Keeshonden here in my home in beautiful San Marcos, CA. I have three children and Kastle has been my dream come true. I am able to be home for my children giving them the best gift of all, as well as being able to do what I love. My passion and love for the Keeshond has been due to their loyalty, love, playfulness and intelligence as well as their beauty. They thrive on family attention and here at Kastle, we can give them just that. As my future in Keeshonden continues to grow, I hope to contribute to the breed what I have come to love and cherish so much.
