At first, Barbara was only a nanny for children but very soon she and Daniel fell in love with each other. Dan and Barbara decided that they would lead the children to the music since their early childhood. On November 6th 1970, Barbara and Dan married in New York. Mother Barbara was giving the children ballet lessons at home, and they took music lessons in the city of Talavera de la Reina. At the first concerts of Kellys, when they were called "Kelly Kids", Barbara danced at concerts. 1981 mama Barbara gets a breast cancer. The Family went back to Spain and canceled all the concerts, because they wanted to be with their mother in her last months. Paddy, which was 4 years old, remembers, that they had a picnic at the river each Sunday. Barbara's condition was stabile and she get pregnant again. She gave birth to her last child Angelo, but she was so sick to have a natural birth, so he came by operation. Her last TV appearance was on video Christmas all year. She died two weeks before the video's publication. In last days were Kelly children around her bed every night. Barbara ann prepared her children on her dead. She said, that it is a part of life. On 7th November she asked her children to sing her a song, the last song. On November 1982 blew sadness over The Family in Belascoain, their moher left for a better world. Her last words were "Keep On Singing". A Spanish woman that attended at the funeral has said "As the casket was lowered into the ground the children screamed and cried hysterically, it was horrible, it was the worst experience in my life!!!". She was a very gentle woman, a sweet calm person, a contrast to the rather strict father. Her family was the most important in her life. She was always kind and she never screamed at her children. During the years of "The Kelly Family" as a band, was written many touching and beautiful songs about Mama Kelly: Mama, An Angel, Calling Heaven, Hallelujah, Madre Tan Hermosa, Too Many Ways, Oh Johnny, I'll Swim I'll Swim, We're Winning Mom.

He studied mathematic, latin and philosophy and in the same way as his brothers, he has teached on the high school in Michigan. In the year of 1957 he married with Joanna (mother of Danny, Caroline, Kathy and Paul). Got five kids with his first wife Joanne before he met Barbara Ann. One of five children has drowned in the water. In 1966, they settled in southern Spain, where Barbara Ann has worked as their babysitter, and they felt in love with each other. Dan Kelly, who worked as a dealer of antiques in Toledo (since 1966 until 1972) made him the breadwinner, gave up the business and started singing with his children. Became a widower after Barbara's death in 1982. Got three strokes; 1990 (which paralysed the right side of his body), 1999 and 2002. The third stroke was a fatal one.
