National security: inherent power of self-preservation for out nation's government
-Not all claims of national security are legitimate. Instead, it is based upon the
question "What is the best interest of our country?" It is also based upon
          international perceptions as well.
     -Three aspects to national security
          -Economic security
-By having a stronger economy, citizens will feel more secure, thus the domestic
security will lead to national security.
-By having a weaker economy, the threat for other nations to expand economically,
militarily, and geographically by invasion is increased.
                    -ex. Iraq-Iran war
          -Military security (domestic)
-Military balances a threat from other nations' militaries
          -Political security (domestic)
