JKO GOALS Traditional karate-Do training provides the most effective means of self-defense. JKO curriculums and techniques include punching, thrusting, striking, hitting, kicking, sweeping, throwing, grappling, choking and takedowns. Our curriculum syllabus is comprehensive; no other martial art provides such a variety of movements and techniques. Most importantly, our goal is to make our
members mentally and physically strong and enhance their peer pressure
resistance skills. Finally, every JKO member is taught to apply our JKO
Dojo Kun (our pledge) in his or her daily life. The Goals of the Traditional JKO Karate-Do Program are: - Provide safe, wholesome physical and mental
activities with traditional values. The traditional Karate-Do training will change your entire life style. One begins to experience remarkable positive changes in one's attitude. As you can do things you never even thought were possible. You gain confidence. You relieve stress and improve your health. Our JKO training is not a self-service exercise program like a franchised fitness center. We cater to each individual, and take great concern with his or her progress. The majority of Karate-Do students have goals that range from: the desire to learn effective self-defense; becoming physically stronger, more agile, and loosing weight; learning ways to avoid undesirable situations; enjoying daily exercise as a stress reduction program. The students are taught discipline, effective learning habits and proper attitudes. Karate-Do training is a physical activity that does not require team tryouts. The students progress at their own pace, as they grow more confidant in their own abilities. |
