Chapter 2: Character Creation
The Drakul is an artificial Bloodline. Drakul itself lost its fertily after ''Embracing'' one Childe per element, and it was discovered that only these Childer, called the Drakovis, could Embrace, as their own Childer, no matter their Element, were infertile. The Bloodline's survival and growth rested on the Drakovis' survival...
Description
The Drakul form an artifical, somewhat infertile but really powerful Bloodline. Their magical nature, as well as their Cainite Vitae had surprising and effective results.
Every Embrace is artificial. Even the Drakovis are unable to Sire without using a Kodlunic fertility ritual. Subjects suffer usually for some time before fully awakening to their new conditions. Perhaps because of their Gargoyle Vitae, or simply because of the Trauma, most Drakul have trouble in remembering their past as mortals, and most exhibited stranges ''deviances'' that most explained as their natural ''quircks'' inherited in their childehood in the middle of the highly excentric Ghoul families...
Nickname
Dragons, drakes, reptiles. Blood Drakuls usually were mistaken with Succubus or Inccubus in the Dark Ages, thus whole new set of nicknames for them...
Haven
At first, as Drakuls are usually officers of the Tzimisce armies, they have access to castles, or other likewise protected and private havens. Some believe that with age, the Drakuls tend to be loners, making their havens in caves, or other secluded sites tied to their element.
Background
The Background of the Drakul depend on their Element, as the Background usually choose the Element... Note that most forget almost everything of their living days (a side-effect of Gargoyle Vitae?), and at least once a Drakovis suffered amnesia and confusion for some years after her creation.
Drakul
Drakul was a castle-sized, six-headed dragon whose power over elements, as well as personnal strength and fortitude, made it one of the most powerful Tzimisce, rivaling with the old Methuselah who had ridiculized the experiment from the start.
But something went wrong. Drakul discovered too late it would only give birth to one Drakovis per head. Letting his followers and Drakovis care for the war against the Tremere, Drakul immersed itself in the study of Koldun to discover the secret of fertility that would make the whole experiment a full success...
The Drakovis
There was one Drakovis per Element, and each one was borne mastering their vision of Drakekh, the Dragon Discipline.
Dedryana (Blood Drakovis): Born from an hematite egg, and immeged in
powerful, magical-charged Vitae, she is the Blood Drakovis. Blood,
be it mortal blood or vampire vitae, is her element, and her
mastery over it was said to affect even the most sincere and
powerful Blood Bonds, when she didn't simply weakened the vitae
of her Cainite enemies...
Korodryr (Earth Drakovis): Born from a granite egg, and petrified
in its mineral core, Korodrys is the Earth Drakovis. Stone is his
power, and as the Stone, he is almost invulnerable. His mastery
over earth and stone made him the bane of fortifications and
gargoyles...
Vuldraar (Fire Drakovis): Considered the most powerful of the
Drakovis, Vuldraar was said to have spent months silently screaming
in the middle of his magma egg. His mastery of fire makes him the
ultimate adversary to most Cainite. His rage is well known among
his enemies and allies alike.
Sorg'kel (Spirit Drakovis): Born in a golden egg, the mindful
Sorg'kel ties with the spirit worlds, as well as his intimate
knowledge of soul workings, made him a powerful enemy indeed...
Oglyrin (Water Drakovis): Black haired, pale Oglyrin was
born when his strange dark egg dissolved in a pool of water.
While a poor flyer, Oglyrin's mastery over water assured
the control of most rivers, either as source of reinforcements
as a simple source of knowledge...
Fealeah (Wind Drakovis): Albino Fealeah was the second female
Drakovys, born of a ice-cold white marble egg. Her mastery of the
winds made her, as well as her brood, the bane the Gargoyles feared
to take off to fight shadowed her mastery of frost and cold.
The Drakan
The Drakan are the childer of the Drakovis. Unable to Sire childer, these infertile, artificial Cainite's destiny was to form an army and to destroy the Tremere and their Ventrue backers in Transylvania.
The Drakan were, unless exception, promising revenants chosen by the Followers of Drakul. Each Drakul's appearance was somewhat changed because of the Embrace.
Blood: The Blood Drakan invariably have blood-red
hair. Most have brown-red or green eyes.
Earth: The Earth Drakan seemed to have inherited the
most of the Gargoyle's vitae involved in the Ritual. They were
massive, and had a dull, emotionless appearance, with dark
gray hair and eyes.
Fire: The Fire Drakan's hair was invariably red-orange,
and their body heat was similar to a fevered mortal's. But their
most alien feature are their red irises.
Spirit: The Spirit Drakan had golden irises and hair,
and slender built.
Water: The Water Drakan always had night-black hair, pale
skin and dark blue irises.
Wind: The Wind Drakans ended as albino version of the
subjects, with white hair, very pale skin and light blue eyes.
Character Creation
As usual. Most Drakul have no memory of their past. Drakul have zero background points at creation (instead of five) but have four Discipline points (instead of three).
Disciplines
Drakekh, Fortitude, Potence.
Note that because of their mixed Vitae, Drakuls have access to Vicissitude without needing a teacher, or to drink from a Vicissitude-bearer. Some among them (the Drakovis, Drakul itself and some worthy Drakuls) are taught the secrets of Koldun Magic of their Element. (Blood Drakuls learning a little-known Koldunic version of the Thaumaturgical Path of Blood).
Weakness
Each Drakul needs more Vitae per night to remain active, because of their Discipline. Also, each Drakul is infertile (but the Drakovis using a Ritual). Last but not least, unless exception, the Drakul have no memory of their past.
Organisation
Perhaps because of the war and of their Blooldine weakness, the organisation of the Drakul was strictly hierarchical and (apparently) unchangeable. At the top of the pyramid was the Drakul, the mighty six-headed Dragon. Under him, serving as Lords and Ladies, were the Six Drakovis. Each Drakovis had command over their Childer.
The Drakovis Childer were divided in two parts: The Drakan, also called Dragon Knights, who were the Drakuls who had acquired their wings (or the Bloodline equivalent), and the Drakul, who didn't deserved individual recognition until they proved their master of Drakekh. These were sometimes nicknamed ''Dragonmen''...
Prefered Path
Well... Humanity, or the Path of Metamorphosis.
Stereotypes
Gangrel: Our allies, for now...
Gargoyles: Our enemy brothers and sisters. Destroy them all, and their masters will fall.
Nosferatu: Our allies, for now...
Tremere: Our enemies. They must be destroyed, and their Magic seized.
Tzimisce: Our parent Bloodline. They should follow our example... But then, they didn't find Metamorphosis...
Ventrue: They are the hand behind the Tremere. Weak and cowards, they will suffer when the Tremere will fall...
Any other Clan: We don't care...
Quote
''Our are the new evolution of vampirism. Our Bloodline is mighty, our power unseen before. Submit as a weakling, or die as a weakling...''
