Then, one night, she received the visit of a dark person, shrouded in mystery. The person said Ankh-Meres-Bast has been chosen, and explained her the Embrace and its consequences. Ankh-Meres-Bast was surprised to have been chosen to join the gods.
Of course, she knew of the nature of the visitor, and the aura that emanated from the person was such she did not doubt of the power of the Antediluvian. The person told her about the incoming war, of the potential evil of the vampire race, and how Ankh-Meres-Bast could help protecting her own wererace by accepting the Gift of Immortality.
And Ankh-Meres-Bast accepted.
The next night, when she awakened, she was alone. Alone with the powerful Beast born from the 4th Generation blood that flowed in her veins. She frenzied and hunted the whole village, killing kinfolk and Bubastis alike, in a fury that would be attributed the the bloody godess Sekhmet centuries after.
She was hunted by her own folk, who had recognized the danger of her presence. She disappeared for years. When she came back, she surprised the new High Priestess in a night prayer. The priestess reaction was of fear, at first, but with patience, Ankh-Meres-Bast explained her condition, the predictions of her Sire and how she had sacrificied her nature to use her new powers to help her kin.
It took years, but Ankh-Meres-Bast was finally accepted as one of Bastet's avatar. The Bubastis still remembered the two Gods, Osiris and Set, and if Osiris was dead, Set was still of this world, sleeping in his century-long sleep. They realized Ankh-Meres-Bast would be a poweful ally should Set turn against them and their Kinfolk. In the other hand, Ankh-Meres-Bast had difficulties with the Protean Discipline, and modified it to suit her personnal taste, creating the Felys Discipline. The Accuraïsis Discipline followed soon after.
Set awakened around 3088 BC, as the population of supernatural creatures grew: Japhet, Childe of the Antediluvian who would be known later as Cappadocius, had created a new childe, Meryt Neith, the daughter of the Pharao. In the Fayoum, the corruption by the Wyrm had touched the King of the Mokole, Sobek, who had degenerated in a prehistoric horror, and intrigued wars to enslave the people of Egypt. And as a group of heroic mortals destroyed it with the help of the starmetal (meteoritic iron with semi-magickal proprieties), they attracted the attentions of other Kindred of powerful Generation.
So Ankh-Meres-Bast, now called Bastet, acted and asked Set to repay the alliance she helped forge between Egypt and the Bubabsti people against the Mokole of the Fayoum, and Set accepted her to embrace Bastmosis the widow of the Pharao's son, Horhem, and priestess of Bast.
By the time Horus, the neverdying mummy, came back from the Land of the Dead, Egypt was growing a powerful land, with the Pharao who was a God himself (a ghoul). His hatred against Set knew no bounds, but Set had the alliance of the Bubastis, the Silent Striders, all the Kindred of Egypt and half the mages. And Horus' army was weak... So he accepted a truce, where the Pharao of Egypt would be the Balance of Horus and Set, and accepted to follow the dream of Set, where Maat, a Salubri, would create the philosophy who would help each man know happiness.
But the wyrm would not let it be so. As the Kindred, the Gods of Egypt, started bickering, as Amon challenged the rule of Sechat (the new name of Meryt Neith), and as Sechat tried to elevate the theology of Egypt with a new God, Aton (a great political move, as Amon would loose most of his temporal power), Set awakened once more. He was happy with Egypt, but unhappy with the Kindred he considered as his Childer. What would Saulot think of this disorder born from ambition, where the Gods of Egypt fought each other instead of working along to enhance the Egyptian civilization?
Amon had won, and Aton was no more. Sechat's title had been given by Set, but she was unable to stop Amon taking the real power over Egypt. Even her Ghoul, Nefertiti, Amenophis IV/Akhenation's wife, had failed.
Set was charmed by Nefertiti's beauty. And he decided she would become his Childe. Sechat lost then her title, as well as Set's love, apparently. But Nefertiti was not what her beauty let appear: She had been corrupted by the wyrm, and had killed her husband when he had decided to take offensive action to guide his beloved Egypt. And now, Set was in love with her!
It took years, as Set worked to give Egypt a new Dynasty of rulers born with Ramses and Seti. Ramses II was his own ghoul, and Set thought he could get back to sleep, letting the gods of Egypt continue his work for him. Little did he know that his own priesthood have been corrupted by the wyrm's influence when the Hyksos invaded the north of Egypt. Little did he know that Nefertiti, now Queen of Egypt and Ghoul of Set, and jealous of the influence she thought Sechat, Maat and Bast had over her Antediluvian lover, would intrigue to destroy them.
One by one, they were destroyed as Nefertiti and Kemintiri's followers and Set's Priesthood dicovered proof of their Treason to enemy Kindred.
Bast was diablerized by the newly Embraced Nefertiti when the Queen of Egypt discovered Bast knew she had killed Sechat in her own Pyramid. And soon after, the purge started. And the Basthemet were destroyed, one by one.
But some survived. If the Setite, led by the now corrupted Set, believing Nefertiti's accusations, destroyed any Basthemet awakening from Torpor, some still survived. And they were surprised to see a new Bloodline appear from nowhere, apparently.
First, they thought it was a Setite trick, but soon, they changed their minds: The Felys seemed to emerge from a weak-Generation Basthemet...
They all saw this as Ankh-Meres-Bast'signal: They now all believe she survived, somehow, the Diablerie of Nefertiti, and that she is now working from what Netherland her soul dwells in to grow her Bloodline back to power...

As she was only 16, her body is not fully developped, and she is at an age between the girl she just sotpped being, and the woman she should have become. She has pointed ears, and fine brows than point up, too. Her fangs and nails are too much developped to appear natural (she can't retract them anymore), and her movements and lazy postures betray her superior agility and her closeness to the feline specy. Her eyes are forever locked in the Felys * form (eyes of Sekhmet).
She speaks most of the ancient tongues, up to around 1000 BC.
The same sensuality is found when Sekhmet takes over and when she
hunts in a cat-and-mouse game. She likes to play with her prey,
and every one knows it, and so, avoid crossing her. Passion and
impulsiveness gouverns her life.
She has been diablerised by Nefertiti, but somehow, the Childe of
Set does not like to talk about the experience, and will frenzy is
pressed to far in that direction.
