Dyed MAX color!

The long awaited new single has just reached us from MAX, who have ended their tour fully charged. They had some misgiving about the new song being a Backstreet Boys cover, and about the eccentric title. But! Sasuga The finished single is stained through and thorugh the color of MAX.

What kind of days do you imagine when you hear the phrase Rose colored Days? A definate image doesnt really come to mind, does it? I didnt think so. Thats because other than in books and movies, we dont use the phrase Rose Colored Days in normal conversation. So its not strange at all that MAX was very uneasy about that title before they recorded the song.
LINA: Because this song is a Backstreet Boys cover, we knew it before we began singing it, but....
REINA: We never imagined that MAX would sing a Backstreet Boys song!
LINA: We were worried about whether Japanese lyrics would fit well to a Western melody.
MINA: And we were also worried about the phrase Rose colored days since it wasnt a one that we personally had ever used.
NANA: But once we sang it, it was really easy to sing, and had a nice beat.
MINA: I think that the stregnth of the Western back sound, and the [unreadable kanji] of the Japanese lyrics go really well together, and it came out great.

Just as she says, the finished Barairo no Hibi has become a cool number with a crisp melody and lyrics with a punch, a song with impact enough not to be overshadowed by the back track, overflowing with a Black taste.
NANA: At first we werent sure what kind of dance to do, but after we listened to the finished version, ideas of Oh, lets do this kind of dance, or Oh, lets do that kind of dance gradually came to us. LINA: To explain it in a phrase, Funky and Sexy, I guess. The song itself is strong, and since it was also originally a song sung by men, I want to take the underlying coolness as a base and use it to make it feminine and funky, rather than just making it feminine, or just giving it a lewd feeling.

It must be because with their previous single MAGIC and the one before it, Never gonna stop it, they moved up a level as artists, trying their hands at self-production, that this trial ended in sucess. And the coupling song is a hip hop tune with lyrics that make an impression, and the theme of Internet romance, which has now become so popular.
REINA: We all use e-mail and the internet.
LINA: We mostly get joke mail and stuff, but...(laugh)
NANA: Once I went into a MAX chat room with Mina, and talked with fans in real time. But I used a different name, saying Im 0000, a fan of Nana-san. (laugh)
MINA: And that was around the time when Nana-san cut her hair short, so we wrote, Today I saw Nana-san in Shibuya. I was really shocked, she cut her hair!, and a fan said. I bet she looks great that way! (laugh)
NANA: It was before any photos had come out, so I thought Id input it before anyone could see me. (laugh)

They say theyre working over one idea after the next for their new album, which they want to release this year, and we look forward to seeing what ideas theyll suprise us with next.
