Episode 4

Narration: My name is Shinoyama Izumi, and I'm a third year student at Kourin Academy University. In order to save a badly injured acquaintance who was near death, I performed a magic ceremony with my friends Nagi, Riku and Touko.
Izumi: Save Takashi-kun's mother...
Narration: But it was a forbidden spell, one that should never be done, and so it came to be that nine curses would befall us.
Dambala: You four are cursed...
Narration: In order to fight that curse, our psychic powers were awakened.
Screen: Kojima Riku Psychometry
Kousawa Nagi Pre-graphy
Imai Touko Psychokenesis
Touko: Stop!!
Screen: Shinoyama Izumi Mind reading
Nagi: Cheer up. You've got to be kidding...
Riku: We'll get though this. It's all your fault
Narration: One after the other, disaster befall us because of the curse. . And today again, a new disaster will visit us.
Nagi: Who are you!? Why are you following me?
Drunk: I just wondered were you lived....
Nagi: I'll call the police. I've got this, even if you run away. Don't fool around with a pro cameraman!
Drunk: Fine...it was just a joke...
Nagi: Cut it out! You drunkard!!
Drunk: It wasn't such a big deal....
Nagi: I'm home! I can't believe I said I was a pro cameraman...
Riku: What, curry again...?
Izumi: I made too much last night, so just eat it.
Nagi: Ahhh!!!
Nameko: Ikeji Tamoshi, 33 years old. A businessman.
Chief: Another weird murder only a couple of weeks later...
Nagi: Just looking at this makes my blood run cold...
Riku: Well, you're photos are a portent of the future, so...
Nagi: I've had enough. I don't want the power to know the future....
Takatori: Why are you four always involved in these kind of incidents?
Nameko: This is the fourth one. The fourth one!
Riku: It's just a coincidence...
Nameko: Maybe you call the disasters?
Chief: Takatori, come here for a moment!
Takatori: Jeez...Always bothering people...
Nameko: IN all of the incidents you've been involved in, there's always been a mysterious mark.
Izumi: Is there a mark this time?
Nameko: Not yet...
Touko: Then it doesn't have anything to do with us, does it?
Nameko: How can it not? The drunk that was hounding you was killed in your garden. There is a mark, and I'll find it, for sure.
Riku: Strange marks huh?
Izumi: Dambala sensei said something about a dying message', but...
Dambala: Now, everyone focus. I'll tell you the meaning of these marks.
Izumi: Sensei, you know what they mean?
Dambala: Yes. It all came to me clearly one night. You won't look at me like that for much longer! Alright, let's go! You know that the four of your birthdays fall perfectly within the 4 astrological spheres, right? In other word, Izumi, a Scorpio is in the Water sphere, Nagi, an Aquarius is in the Wind sphere, and Riku, a Taurus is in the Earth sphere. Touko, a Leo is in the Fire sphere. The fact that the spell succeeded, the fact the you have psychic power, and even the fact the you met, it was all controlled by the laws of astrology!
Hina: So..the mysterious marks have something to due with astrology too?
Dambala: Oh, Hina! Just like you! Wonderful! That's my daughter!!
Hina: Eww, stop! That's why Mama left. She said she couldn't keep up with your fits of emotion.
Dambala: Mama was unsatisfied with that?
Hina: Well, that was one of the things...
Dambala: So, if I stopped having fits of emotion, Mama would come back...
Hina: Right, so...
Dambala: Now! To continue! The disasters also have a connection to astrology. Thinking that, I realized something amazing. In astrology, they use these symbols to represent the planets of our solar system.
Nagi: Oh! It's the same!
Dambala: Yes! This isn't a chi', it's Saturn!
Izumi: Oh!
Dambala: This isn't a 4, it's Jupiter!
Riku: Oh!
Dambala: Yes! This is Venus!
Touko: Do they all have one?
Dambala: Yes. The disasters that befall you have some connection with the planets of the solar system.
Hina: Wow! Papa, I have to respect you for that!
Dambala: Now all that's left are three tricky questions. Number one, what connection do the disasters have with the solar system?
Izumi: If we don't know that, we can't do anything.
Dambala: Do the planets have a ----, just as they say shooting stars bring calamity...or is it something to do with the electric waves raining down from outer space? I've thought of many possibilities, but I haven't come to a conclusion. ------- And the second question, what is the mark in this forth incident?
Nagi: Nameko-san said he couldn't find it, but...
Dambala: That fatso is stupid. But...there must be a mark somewhere! And the third question, this one is....
Touko: Why doesn't Izumi have any psychic powers?
Izumi: Huh?
Touko: Amazing Touko. Did you read my mind?
Izumi: I don't have any power, I'm sure.
Touko: How can you say that so decisively?
Izumi: Why?
Hina: Even if nothing changes with Izumi-san, the four of you still have to join your powers to beat it, right?
Riku: that's why we decided to live together...
Nagi: But the heinous criminals are getting closer and closer to the house.
Dambala: I see. You should put up surveillance cameras.
Izumi: We don't have the money.
Hina: What if you sold something from here?
Dambala: Don't be ridiculous! Like this, I bought it in Africa for 113 thousand dirks.
Nagi: How much is that in Japanese yen?
Dambala: About 980 yen! I love to get bargains like that!
Riku: No way. They won't even look at it....
Izumi: No way! Half a million yen!! Dealer: This is a vase that the African people presented to Queen Victoria in the 19th century. You've made a great find. Please allow me to buy it for you.
Riku: So I guess it was something special.....
Izumi: Let me see it for a moment.
Dealer: Half a million yen...I'm getting it for so cheap!
Izumi: A million yen! No, a million and a half! We won't sell it for any less...
Riku: Wait a sec, Izumi....
Photo Sensei: Nagi, I heard that there was a murder near where you leave.
Nagi: Oh yes. All the police came...
Photo Sensei: That must have been hard. But you got some good pictures, right?
Nagi: No, I was so worked, up I...
Photo Sensei: You idiot. Pictures like that could have made you a pro. Nagi: Oh right! I forgot that I took this one.
Photo Sensei: What a shame. Why didn't you take it with this? You can't become a cameraman this way!
Nagi: Yes sir.
Photo Sensei: Nagi, I have high expectations for you. That's why I'm helping you with things like this.
Nagi: yes sir.
Photo Sensei: If you really want to be a pro camera men, don't miss your next chance.
Nagi: Yes.
My next chance.....
Video man: I've finished setting up your cameras. As a special service, I'll wipe the lenses for you.
Riku: Alright! Five surveillance cameras, all with our million and a half yen! You should thank me. It was my idea.
Izumi: Who would have thought we could use our psychic powers to get money.
Riku: And you too Nagi, what if your photos got in the Gold Seal tomorrow? That would be great!
Nagi: that's what I'm thinking. I mean, since I have this power, I might as well get something out of it.
Riku: But I was really surprised at Izumi's haggling. I mean, half a million seemed fine.
Izumi: It just seemed like he was lying...
Touko: really? I thought he hid it well, but....
Video man: Um...I've finished wiping the lenses.
Dambala: The girls told me, Nameko-san sees things differently than other people...
Nameko: Well,...not too many people would pay attention to these marks...
Dambala: It certainly is interesting. But it seems like you can't find one this time?
Nameko: That's not true. For example, this tree. Doesn't it seem to have a hidden meaning?
Dambala: Not really...
Nameko: Okay, well, how about these leaves, see this shape...
Dambala: I don't think that's it.
Nameko: Well, well... Takatori: Hey, Sempai, your locker is...Oh, Dambala-sensei. Sempai, you're not supposed to show crime scene photos to outsiders.
Nameko: Sensei came to ask me about my opinion on the connection between the incidents and the mysterious marks.
Takatori: Why do you have to keep looking for that stuff?...
Sensei: Um...are there any distinguishing features about the scene of the crime?
Takatori: Well...we're investigating more about the manner in which the victim was killed, and his appearance.
Dambala: His appearance?
Takatori: Sempai, make sure you clean that all up.
. Nameko: I know, I will...
Dambala: Here let me help...
Nameko: Oh, don't trouble yourself...
Nagi: Of course they don't show anything when it's important...
Just show something, anything about the next disaster...
Oh right!
There's someone in the garden!

Touko: Don't move!
Izumi: Who are you!?
Man: Oh, I'm no one to be alarmed of. I'm one of the neighbors, really.
Nagi: Huh? Man: I was being chased by a dog, so I slipped in here. I'm afraid of dogs. Here, the firework contest is next week.
Nagi: Getting all worked up for nothing...
Riku!
Riku: Please hold on a moment. You got a phone call.
Nagi: We don't have time for that, I ....
Riku: It's from some Cameraman.
Nagi: what?
Hello?
Man: Is this Kousawa Nagi-san?
Nagi: Yes.
Man: We received your entry for the photo contest, but we regret to tell you it's been dropped.
Nagi: Dropped?
Man: Please give my regards to Hattori-sensei.
Nagi: I'm going out...
Riku: Nagi...
Photo Sensei: If you really want to be a pro, don't miss your next chance.
Nagi: I'm sorry, Riku...
Izumi: Nagi...don't be depressed. I think your photos are great. I'm sure next time...
Nagi: Leave me alone... Izumi: Nagi...!
Dambala: Hina, let's quit for tonight. We keep going in the morning.
Hina: Got it...
Dambala: Alright, let's go home...
Hina: No, I got it!
Dambala: Ow...you got it?
Hina: The mark! This!
Dambala: Pluto...How did you find it?
Hina: Look closely. Look really really closely...
See?
Dambala: It is Pluto...
Pluto? The king of Hades? The King of the dead?
Hina: What is it, Papa?
Dambala: I've found it! I've found the connection between the planets and the disasters!!
Hina: What? What? Tell me!
Dambala: I've found it!! Ahahahaha
Riku: Hello? Oh, Dambala sensei? What is it, so late at night?
Pluto?
Dambala: Yes. The mark was hidden in a strange place. The way the dead body looks. The body and the rope make the mark for Pluto.
Touko: Izumi...you're hiding something from us, aren't you?
Izumi: Huh?
Dambala: but the police have missed important here something.
Riku: Something Important?
Dambala: Yes. It's not one fearful criminal, but two. One is a dog. A dog called Cereberus. The guard dog of hell.
Riku: the guard dog...of Hell?
Dambala: Yes, a dog monster, who ---- s human's bodes. Be very careful of him.
Riku: I wish you'd told me this all sooner!
Dambala: What?
Riku: Because he's right in front of me!
Touko: Izumi...you can read people's minds, can't you? Right?
I knew it...How do you know what they're thinking?
Izumi: When I touch people, their thoughts are transmitted to me.
Touko: Izumi, you're in the Water sphere, with the power of water which flowers in currents through us.
Izumi: Please...don't tell everyone.
Touko: Why are you hiding it?
Izumi: Because I...
Touko: Because you're spying into people's minds?
Dambala: Run, Riku!
Riku: It's not that easy!
Nagi: Riku?
Izumi: Wait Touko...
Sorry Nagi..
Nagi: I'm fine...
Izumi: That's a picture of the future, isn't it?
Nagi: No, it's not.
Izumi: Let me see!
What happened to Riku! What happened to Riku!
Nagi: How do you know about that?
Touko: Izumi can't read people's minds.
Nagi: What?
Touko: that's her psychic power.
So you can't hide anything.
Nagi: Eww!
Izumi: Riku!
Touko: Riku!
Izumi: She's not in here...
Touko: Riku!!
Izumi: Riku!
Touko: Riku!!
Riku hold on! You can do it, it's just a little more!
Izumi: Are you okay?
Touko: Riku!
Izumi: Nagi....What are you doing?
Nagi: I took a photograph no one else could. I knew that I had a wonderful chance here.
Touko: So you're selling out your friends?
Nagi: But, Riku used her power to get money. And Izumi, you read the dealer's mind, didn't you? Everyone's using their powers to help themselves. What wrong with me doing the same thing?!
Izumi: It's not the same! Nagi, you betrayed your friends!
Nagi: I knew Riku would be saved. You can't change the future! Even if we know we'll be attacked, we can't do anything about it!
And Izumi, you didn't tell us! You didn't tell is about your power, so who are you to talk!
I can't live with someone who spies into people's minds!
Izumi: Nagi!
Riku: Izumi...why didn't you tell us you had that power?
Izumi: I thought if I told people I could read minds, you'd all hate me...
Touko: And so you hid it? You act like you're so perfect, but it's really not fair. Everyone's worried and unsure about their powers. You're not the only one!
Riku: You can't hide it! The four of us have to join our powers!
Photo Sensei: Nagi...What are you standing in the middle of the road for?
Nagi: Sensei...
Photo Sensei: Get it. I'll give you a ride.

Takatori: The criminal must have climbed onto the roof
. Chief: But why didn't the camera show anything?
Camera man: There's nothing wrong with the cameras.
Nameko: Apparently the door into the yard was open all night.
Riku: What?
Izumi: Cause, A man named Gohonki-san....
Nameko: There never was such a man. The notice he was circulating was a fake too.
Touko: Then who was he?
Chief: He came sneaking around and you saw him, so he faked his way out of it with that fake pamphlet.
Izumi: No way...
Nameko: Well, it looks like we've got a suspect. We'll need to make up a wanted sheet right away.
Chief: And the Doberman he had with him is an accomplice.
Riku: I know that dog was being controlled the criminal!
Nameko: So if we make up a wanted poster, and check dog owners, the criminal should turn up.
Takatori: Don't you think this is all a little too simple?
Chief: So, make a list of all the people who own Dobermans.
Takatori: Roger...
Photo Sensei: So you're finally awake?
Nagi: Good morning!
Sensei: But who could believe that your friends would be targeted next....You must be jinxed... But as a cameraman, it's very lucky.
Sensei: You took pictures this time, didn't you?
Nagi: Huh?
Sensei: How did they come out?
Nagi: I took them but...I messed up.
Sensei: Messed up?
Nagi: I was so flustered, I forgot to load the film....
Sensei: I suppose you were worried about whether you should save your friends. Listen. If you want to be a pro, don't worry about that sort of thing... It doesn't matter if they're your friends or not, you have to make use of everything you can.
If you're not going home yet, you can stay here for awhile.
Nagi: Thank you.
Takatori: So why do I have to stay over at your house?
Riku: We told you, you're our body guard.
Takatori: Yeah, and I said I don't do that kind of thing.
Izumi: The job includes dinner. I'll make it.
Nameko: Huh? Dinner? I'll go.
Izumi: Aren't you on a diet?
Nameko: Oh...yeah...
Riku: The criminal failed once, so he'll probably attack us again, right?
Takatori: You've seen his face, so he won't come back again. It's a waste of time. We'll just use this to arrest him.
Nameko: Come here for a second, Takatori.
Takatori: What, what is it, Sempai?
Takatori: What?
Nameko: Go. Those girls are in danger.
Takatori: Why?
Nameko: I've unraveled the mystery. These marks point to their horrible future.
Takatori: Horrible future?
Nameko: If you think of the various meanings of the marks, they form a sentence. All right? Listen closely. Four women covered in blood.' In other words, it means they're going to be killed. With such a perfect sentence, we don't need a forth mark.
Guy: You're very persuasive.
Nameko: Oh, aren't you too?
Takatori: But you know, you're just randomly putting them together.
Nameko: Randomly? Don't say that.
Takatori: I mean, you could just as easily say it meant safety (chian) for four women' Guy: Or, a woman with four breasts (chibusa)!
Takatori: Oh, good one.
Nameko: There is not such thing as a woman with four breasts! Fine, this is the last time I tell you two anything.
Takatori: -----
Takatori: Wow! You made all this yourself?
Izumi: Well, I figured you didn't get to eat this kind of thing very often.
Takatori: Yeah... With food like this, I wouldn't mind coming here everyday!
Umm!
Riku: Has she ever a meal like that for us before?
Touko: With men, cooking is your trump card.
Riku: I see.
Takatori: So, Nagi left? Did you guys have a fight or something?
Izumi: I was in the wrong. I did something that trespassed into her heart.
Takatori: You should apologize. If you want to keep on being friends, you have to make sure she knows that.
This is great!
Takatori: Where's your master?
What did he come to do?
What?
Riku: It's that dog!
Izumi: Takatori-san!
Takatori: Damn it!
Izumi: Touko! What is it?
Riku: Touko!
Takatori: Move!
Izumi: Touko! Are you all right?
Touko: I'm okay....
Riku: Thank God.
Takatori: What the? The camera didn't show anything!
Damn it all!
Touko: I guess this means that the second act will be the same as the first...
Riku: The games are over'. Does that mean that now he's playing for keeps?
Izumi: The four of us should be together....
Takatori: Damn it, making a fool out of me like that....
Touko: So, does this mean Gohonki was the first act?
Takatori: Gohonki isn't the criminal. A person who would let himself me seen so easily couldn't do this.
Policeman: Takatori-san, Gohonki has surrendered himself to the police!
Nameko: It seems like he saw he was wanted as a criminal and was petrified.
Gohonki: I told you, I'm just a normal underwear their...Look!
Policeman: You did that again, you freak!
Gohonki: I'm sorry!
Nameko: Well, that's not a lie...
Takatori: Sempai, can you check the business man from the Gomueiru Company?
Nameko: Oh, right. He could fix the cameras...but...can I do it by myself?
Takatori: If he's the real criminal, then he's bound to be a novice.
Nameko: Oh, right.
Takatori: Well, I'm counting on you.
Riku: Izumi's gone!
Takatori: Gone?
Touko: I think she went to Nagi's!
Takatori: That idiot....
Nagi: Coming!
Izumi: I didn't want anyone to know that I could read minds. I didn't want you guys to hate me. I didn't mean to pry! What you were thinking just transmitted to me naturally.
Nagi: There's no point in apologizing now...
I hate myself. I really do. I'm selfish and cold, and I betray my friends. It makes me shudder to think that you could see into my heart, the way I am.
Izumi: Nagi...
Nagi: Go home!
Izumi: Touko was attacked...
Nagi: Huh?
Izumi: Nagi, you're in danger too! After all, the four of us are one. So, come with....
Nagi: That's enough! I like being alone! So go home!
Izumi: Nagi....
Nagi: Don't touch me! I've made up my mind. I'm going to use my power for my own sake.
I'm going to send these pictures to a magazine, and become recognized.
Sensei: I heard there was a murder where you live...
Nagi: Izumi...
Nagi: Izumi! Izumi!
Let go of the rope. I took your picture. Izumi, are you okay? Hang on!
I won't ever let you kill my friends!
Sensei: Aa, you don't understand anything. Don't humans look their most charming, when they're dying? Fear...agony...struggle...despair, and then...the end. Is there any other moment so dramatic? Someone's dying in front of you. Before you lose anymore time, start taking pictures. You won't let anyone kill your friends? Is that what I taught you, Nagi?
Nagi: Sensei....
Sensei: I had such high hopes for you. I'm really disappointed in you....
I wanted show you those pictures. Pictures from the time when people are dying like this. They're the best pictures ever!
Izumi: Let' s get out of here!
Nagi: Wait!
Izumi: Nagi!
Takatori: Freeze! It's the police!
Touko: Are you okay?
Riku: Don't worry us like that...
Takatori: It's useless. That dog has been taken into custody. A dog whistle huh? You freak, doing strange things.. The games are up..
It was all thanks to your phone call. But how did you know that Izumi would be attacked here?
Nagi: Um....it was my strong nose as a camera man. Takatori: Nose?
Izumi: You know how sometimes the press gets to a scene before the police? Like that.
Takatori: Oh. I should have known.
Policeman: Takatori-san, you've got a call on the radio.
Takatori: Coming!
Nagi: Was Sensei always like that? Or was it because of the curse.
Touko: I think the curse chooses people would have something evil in them...
Nagi: Ah...I can't even choose men well....
Riku: Nagi, were you in....
Nagi: Don't be stupid. I just thought that if I could get him to recognize me, I could become a pro...
Izumi: I think you're already a perfect pro. You saved me, and you took pictures of the criminal.
Riku: That's right.
Touko: Cheer up.
Izumi: Huh?
Nagi: I'm hungry! We still have left overs, right?
Riku: Huh?
Nagi: I forgot to load the film....
Riku: You've gotta be kidding...
Touko: Seriously...
Nameko: What? You arrested the criminal? Takatori? Hello?
Gohonki: Um....you arrested me falsely? This is going to be bad....
Nameko: Hold on a sec...Why me? Oh...my stomach hurts! My stomach hurts!
Hina: Izumi-san's power is mind reading....She can read people's thoughts, huh?
Dambala: This is wonderful. We know all of their powers now.
Hina: Hey, Papa, you can tell me now, right? About the connection between the stars and the disasters.
Dambala: And, since I've figured out how everything relates, I can explain the recent strange occurrences!
Hina: So, explain it.
Dambala: Ah! I won't be able to sleep tonight!
Hina: This is why Mama said before she left that she was fed up with Papa being so in love with himself...
Dambala: What? So, if I had just fixed that part of myself....
Hina: Just tell me already! What did you figure out?
Dambala: Oh, Hina, if you want to know so much, I'll tell you, and only you. You see....
To be continued.....
