The Terrorist, the Corporation and the Incident

You are Andrew Stine, chief of the Despayre organization, a wanted terrorist team hiding in the mountains on a deserted planet, far from the solar system. You and your buddies are preparing your wildest, but yet masterful plan: the assassination of the President of Earth.

Two months ago, you noticed the arrival of troops on an island, a hundred miles from you. As you were sure they could not imagine you would be here, you decided to stay anyway, seeing as this could be interesting. After a month, they had built a sort of base. The containers with radioactivity signs they kept on receiving make you think this could be some kind of nuclear waste processing plant. What you know for sure is who your neighbours are: there are logos from the Aeronautic Guilds Mega Corp everywhere, this arrogant mathematic symbol pointing out their nearly infinite power.

The AGM rules this part of the Milky Way. Their areas of control extend from space travels, genetic engineering and nuclear productions to nearly anything related to scientific researches and military devices. Hiding on this crappy planet was not such a bad idea after all!

One night, you are awakened by an explosion. Then, nothing. It seemed to come from the base. Your buddies decide they want to have a look. You highly disagree, but you know the pros of democracy, and nothing, not even the risk of radioactive contamination, could convince them otherwise. They take all the weaponry they can and run to the base. You stay at the camp. You wait. Alone. 3 days. No news. You can't stand it any longer. You take the only weapon left (a damn pistol) and you go there.

When arriving near the base, you feel puzzled. You do not see your friends vehicles, nor does there seem to be any trace of destruction on the base. There is no sign of activity around the installations. Just neon flickering. According to your Geiger counter, the radioactivity is in a safe range: What the Hell happened here? Are your buddies prisoners? But why are there no guards?

The only solution is to get inside. Convinced it would be a bad idea to try the main entrance, you open a little door on the smallest building you can find. The security system seems to be out of order. Strange. You enter in some kind of laboratory or storage area, it is hard to say. Suddenly the door closes. You are trapped!

You are sure you have heard something inside. Someone knows you are here. Whoever it is, he should better not underestimate you, because you feel the adrenaline pumping through your veins like a torrent. The frustration and fear is forgotten for a moment, and your instincts are sharpened as you peer into the darkness.

Behind the scene

The AGM uses its facilities on the remote planet to test a new protection device. Its purpose is to annihilate the effects of a nuclear explosion. What the AGM's scientists don't know is that this device creates an interdimensional crack and redirects all the energy of the explosion in it.

The explosion heard by Stine and his friends was the first large scale test of the device. It succeeded, that's why the base is still here when Stine arrives. Unfortunately, the interdimensional crack linked to a city in another world. The city got completely destroyed. Of course, the citizens of this world (aliens? hell spawn? Let us call them 'the bad guys') were really pissed. As they master the interdimensional technology and had a crack to pass by and find the attackers, they decided to strike back.

When Stine arrives, the base has been invaded by the bad guys. Given the lack of resistance they found, they decided to find the source of our civilization to have a definitive vengeance. Using the interdimensional technology, they began to invade Earth.
