His name is also romanized as:
Chun Dai Soeung.
Born in 1947, he started training in gong fu in 1953 under master Pheel in Inchon (Korea), learning Hou Quan (Monkey Boxing). He also studied Chang Quan (Long Boxing) under shifu Lee Po Young.
From 1958 to 1962 shifu Chun Dai Soung trained Mei Hua Tang Lang and Tai Ji Mei Hua Tang Lang Quan under shifu Lin Ping Jiang. In addition he studied Tai Ji Mei Hua Tang Lang under shifu Jiang Kyung Fung as well as Ba Gua Zhang and some mantis sets under shifu Lu Shien Tien.
Shifu Chun Dai Soung was senior student of shifu Lin Ping Jiang and taught most of the classes to some other younger students of shifu Lin Ping Jiang as was the common practise in traditional schools.
Shifu Lu Shien Tien and shifu Lin Ping Jiang were good friends that is how shifu Chun Dai Soung became shifu Lu Shien Tien's student (by this master's invitation) in 1962.
Later that year shifu Chun Dai Soeung left his hometown of Inchon, Korea to serve in the Korean Army. During this time shifu Chun Dai Soeung continued his training under shifu Lu Shien Tien.
In 1964 shifu Chun Dai Soeung resigned his position as Intelligence Officer with the Army and began promoting the Yun Moo Kwan system of Kung-Fu. He opened the first gong fu school in Inchon, Korea. The system was known as "Sil Chun Moo Sool" (Actual Fighting Art) throughout the area.
In 1967, with the help of shifu Lu Shien Tien, shifu Chun Dai Soung opened his first school called "The Korean Sib Pal Gee Association" in Inchon, Korea. In 1973, shifu Chun Dai Soung moved to Pusan (Korea) and opened the first Chung Moo Kwan school.
In 1978 he moved to New Orleans (USA) to open a school and he left his schools in Korea to his senior student, shifu Ku Young Han.
Shifu Chun Dai Soung was featured in Inside Kung Fu February 1984 under "Korea's Kung-Fu" article by Randy Bennett.
