His name is also romanized as:
Ma Keung / Ma Kang / Ma Chian.
Shifu Ma Qiang was a bandit. He abandoned his renegated life to train under shifu Hou Jie.
Other Tai Ji Tang Lang traditions mention that he also studied under shifu Hou Zhi Yuan.
