ADOPTED FROM THE HEALING DEN
THE FIRELIZARD DEN
........in this place there lie many a flit......breath-takingly beautiful, they darted around my eyes......a clutch lay in the sands, and I noticed a crack forming on one of the large, dark shells..... I stumbled forward, desperate to impress one of the delightful creatures.....where were my companions? They too should be here on this momentus occasion......I grabbed for my pouch, and withdrew a handful of meat.......something damp fell into my hand as I reached, and I impressed my first firelizard.....

"Excuse me? What are you doing reading my diary?" A girl stands at the doorway of the den, shaking with fury. "It's private."
You stutter something, and the girl glares at you.
"There are no clutches here. What do you want?"
She grabs the diary which was still in your hands. "Give that back."
You willingly let go and stammer out that you would like to look at her flits.
"Fine. Look. Just keep out of my stuff." She then whistles, and a coloured blur appears. It seperates until you can make out each individual firelizard.
The girls expression softens noticebly and she introduces the flits to you one by one.
This beauty is Xantheria. I didn't impress him in the first clutch, but when I was helping some people with their clutch, the silly thing impressed me, instead of the Holder Xany was meant to go to. But he is just wonderful, and helps to keep the others in line when Cinsey is on a message for me. He often flies Cinsey in her mating flights, but they aren't mates.
This sleepy little girl, Saae, is always either eating, or sleeping. Sometimes she refuses to move, and I have to carry her. But she is absoloutely gorgeous, especially when she yawns with her little jaws... it's so cute!
Now little Bellamy... she is rather odd. Bell is female, but everyone, including me, swears that she is not gold. She is actually a greeny yellow. We are not sure whether she will rise and have a gold's clutch or a green's. She is delightful though. I don't think the males of my fair know quite what she is either....they are not sure whether to preen or chase her away! She gets along very well with Jotewm, and they are almost always together.
Nutwen was the first firelizard I impressed. Isn't he handsome? He actually beat Xantheria in Cinsey's last mating flight....he strutted around for days! He is the one who usually flies Jotewm, as they are mates. It is assumed that when Saae flies (if she ever stops sleeping) she will be caught by Xantheria. Nutwen doesn't like Xantheria, so is always harrassing the females of the fair until they chase him away.
Cinsey is the boss of my fair. She is always barking out orders at the other flits. She doesn't like Saae, because Saae mostly ignores her instructions. Cinsey is always conveying her displeasure of the males in my fair to me, because she doesn't like them and thinks them unworthy of her in flights. She gets along well with Bellamy usually unless she is in a snappy mood. When Cinsey is to fly, she always tries to escape and be flown by a wild firelizard, but Xantheria or Nutwen always catch her.
Jotewm just recently had a flight, and was caught by Nutwen. Cinsey is exceedingly jealous of Jot 'cos she seems to get more attention from the males than the gold, even though Cinsey disapproves of Xany and Nutwen. Bellamy is very influential in Jotewm's life, and Bell can be heard constantly chittering advice into Jot's ear. Nutwen is very protective of his mate, and often gets into scuffles with Xantheria when Xany gets too close to her. Jotewm is very beautiful, especially for a green.
