BMFC: You are an extremely beautiful woman, how do you stay in such great shape? Is it hard to maintain a diet and exercise regime working the long hours that you do?

Monika: When I'm not working it's easier to keep up my workout regime. I like to run 3 times a week (4.5 miles) and go to the gym 3 times a week--where I work out with a trainer.

BMFC: Do you miss modeling at all? What would be the valuable experience you've gained while modeling?

Monika: I don't really miss modeling. I would say that I learned how to stand up for myself and how to pack a mean suitcase.

BMFC: What made you decide to enter the world of acting?-was it the next step or did you always have an interest in front of the camera?

Monika: Acting was something that I had always fantasized about but never thought that it was in the realm of possibility.

BMFC: You wrote a book titled "Between You and Me”; Is it about your modeling career?

Monika: Yes, it was about my experiences traveling and meeting interesting people as a young model.

BMFC: Since switching over to an acting career, you've played several roles and have starred in numerous movies. The next set of questions covers this stage of your life:

Besides continuing your role as the Sorceress in BeastMaster, what other projects are you doing right now? How many projects do you work on during a year?

Monika: I’ve just completed two film projects entitled; “Snowbound” and “Vegas”. Each year varies as far as the amount of work that I do.

BMFC: You've guest-starred in Andromeda, First Wave, and other Sci-Fi shows. Do you enjoy this genre? If so, we'd love to see you in Stargate SG-1 since it films in Vancouver and you visit there often.

Monika: I really enjoy working on Sci-Fi shows like the aforementioned. Even though I don’t generally watch them and the dialogue can be difficult to memorize, they are my favourite to work on.

BMFC: Your fans know you enjoy being in front of the camera, but few know you love to be behind the camera as well. You delve into photography (which in our opinion you have a magical touch)… please tell us how you got involved… do you ever plan on directing or producing?

Monika: Photography was something that I picked up in LA. It was a way to keep my sanity and have a creative outlet that I was completely in control of.

BMFC: It was such a pleasure meeting you in person in Australia while you were filming episodes for Season 3 of BeastMaster. We'll never forget the way you bounced over to greet us while in the catering line - you are so full of bubbly personality. Your fans are thrilled that you're back with the show, so the following questions are BM related:

How many episodes of BeastMaster will you be appearing in this season? Does this season's direction give you more interaction with the main characters?

Monika: I’ll be in six episodes this season and if the first three are any indication - - I should have more interaction this year with the main characters instead of moping around my Aerie all alone!

BMFC: How do you feel about Steve Feke's departure from the series?

Monika: I was sorely disappointed about that. He is a brilliant writer, as well as, a generous producer.

BMFC: While working on the BeastMaster set, what aspect of playing the all-powerful Sorceress do you enjoy best?

Monika: I enjoy her innocence and playfulness. I always will think of her like a child who doesn’t always understand the consequences of her actions.

BMFC: Who, from experience, is the prankster on the set? Who is the serious one?

Monika: I would say that Jackson has a lot of fun on set and Steven Grives is very serious.

BMFC: Could you describe each of your fellow costars to us in one word?

Monika: Jackson: confident, Daniel: complex, Steven: focused, Marjean: generous

BMFC: In Rescue, the Sorceress discovered a way to change Sharak back into a man. Unfortunately, the Ancient One reversed the spell and that's when the Sorceress vowed she'd do it again. In Season 3, now that the Ancient One is no longer around (we heard Grahame Bond is not returning), does the Sorceress have plans to change Sharak back to a man for good? Followers of this wonderful storyline are anxious for a hint.

Monika: I honestly don’t know what the writers have in store for poor old Sharak. Anything is possible. Letters to the producers from you; the fans, have an impact - - use your ‘magical powers’ and tell them what you’d like to see!

BMFC: Another question that has been burning in the minds of fans… if Sharak is as old as the rocks, yet had an affair with the Sorceress when he and she were students of the Ancient One, wouldn't that mean the Sorceress was the same age? And, if so, why was she still only a student after all that time, unless she had been cast in amber before for eons and her memory erased? If you have any inkling as to your character's past that you may know or feel is probable, please tell us your thoughts.

Monika: She is the same age as Sharak. The Sorceress was a mere student after all these years because she was still ‘younger’ than The Ancient One and was, therefore, not able to overthrow him with all of his magical knowledge…until now!
