HEADLINE: Actress trades tiger for stickhandler: Model-turned-actress Monika Schnarre has wrapped up a shoot for BeastMaster and landed with boyfriend Jamie Linden.

MONIKA SCHNARRE, the Canadian supermodel-turned-actress, just ended a
shooting season in Australia on the fantasy-wildlife TV series BeastMaster,
in which one scene-mate is a Bengal tiger named Sascha.
Schnarre, who resides in L.A., says she plans to move to our town to be closer to boyfriend Jamie Linden, who has also played with wild beasts -- during four National Hockey League games on the roster of the Florida Panthers. Otherwise, the brother of former Vancouver Canucks captain Trevor Linden soldiered through the Western Hockey League's 1988 to 1993 seasons with teams in Spokane, Portland, Prince Albert and Medicine Hat.
With his stickhandling career over, BCIT student Linden is a woodworker off-ice. So is Schnarre, who says she may sign up here for vocational courses in woodworking and her other hobby, photography.
