Captain Kangaroo

Bob Keeshan was Clara Bell the clown on the Howdy Doody Show, but I remember him best as Captain  Kangaroo. I would sit in a big chair with one of my cousins and we would watch the clock, and Mr. Greenjeans, the rabbit and various other things. We not only were entertained but we learned. I guess Captain Kangaroo was the Barney of my childhood. All I know is I loved him and would not under no circumstances miss this show! I can't remember much about the program without looking in refernce books but I do remember how much I loved the show and I will always be grateful to Mr. Keeshan for being there for me.
