Key for the identification of hoods

To use the key

At each step, two or more alternatives are given. Start at No 1, decide which description a, b or c applies, then go to the paragraph whose number appears at he end of the line. Continue thus until the line ends with the abbreviation of the degree.

Examples:

(i) a Cambridge shape green hood lined with green

1 b Hood coloured: 13

13 a Hood Cambridge shape: 14

14 c green: 17

17 green lined green: EdD Auckland

 

(ii) a black Oxford shape hood lined bone, edged with purple

1 a Hood black: 2
