We provide fire, rescue, and ambulance
services to the residents of Newton and Ransom Townships, Lackawanna County,
Pa. Newton-Ransom is about 107 square miles and has approx. 2000 households.
Our fire company, founded in 1960, has approx. 30 active members, 10 of
which are EMT's. We average about 175 fire and EMS calls per year. Emergency's
are dispatched from the Lakawanna County Communications Center via 154.310
Mhz. Our apparatus consists of a Stuphen Engine(E-8), International Tanker
(Tanker 8-1), Ford Tanker (Tanker 8-2), Dodge Brush Truck (Truck 8), and
a Medic Master ambulance on an International chassis (Ambulance
8-9).
