From there I would move on to Frontierland. Here we had lawmen in the street, saloon girls on the balconies, and real gunfights that went from the ground to the rooftops, until the "Bad" guy would get shot off the roof and fall to the ground. it was after such an experience that I met Walt Disney. He was wearing bluejeans and a grey Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. My Mother, Father, Sister, and I were having a snack on the riverfront when he walked up to us and started chatting with my Dad. He wanted to know how our day was going, what we enjoyed, and he seemed to really CARE how we felt about his big playground. This wasn't just business to him, it was his heart! The Keel Boats were fun too. Riding along on the Bertha Mae or the Gullywumper gave us a great view of the river and my Mine Train at Cascade Peak again. As we rode we would feed the baby ducks our popcorn (sorry Mr. Reddenboker!) as they swam out to meet the boat. My favorite spot was right up in the bow, behind the swivel gun! It had the best view, and I was going to be sure no river pirates got me! Laura, [email protected]
