QUALITY CONTROL ASSIGNMENT

How does your company monitor quality during production?
You may find that there is a quality manual which has guidelines for printing of jobs.

Your assignment should include how quality checks are made on the following:

• Files supplied on disk from the client
• Output of film
• Production of plates
• Press proofs: including a description of quality control aids on the printed sheet and what they measure.
  

Assessment Criteria
The assignment must be written in your own words. Include any diagrams to illustrate key points.

Also indicate any numeric data which is used to manage quality
i.e. exceptable dot gain tolerances or data that is recorded during production.

Are quality issues fed back to the various departments so that improvements can be made?

Lastly add any comments which you feel would help to improve quality in any of the 4 stages above.
