Wiseman1.Thomas Wiseman was born in 1715 in London, England. Am not sure of who he married. All I have is she was born in 1719 in London, England. They had 1 child that I know of. ![]() 2.William Edward Wiseman was born February 2, (1740/41 or 35/36) in London, England. He married Mary Davenport in 1761, Burke County, North Carolina. Mary was born June 17, 1741 in Culpepper County, Virginia. Her father was Thomas Davenport of Virginia. William fought in the battle of King's Mountain, SC in 1780. William and Mary had 12 children. i.Thomas born April 30, 1763 in Culpepper, Va. ![]() 3.Martin Davenport Wiseman born August 24, 1723 in Ingalls, Avery County, NC and died 1834/38 in Benton County, TN. He married Sarah White around 1794, who was born around 1775 in NC. She was the daughter of Benjamin White. Martin and Sarah had the following child: i.*Joseph J. born November 8, 1806 in 'Old Burke' County, ![]() 4.*Joseph J. Wiseman born November 8, 1806 died April 1, 1893 in Henry County, TN and is also burried there. Joseph was a carpenter and a farmer. He married two times; I believe first to Lucinda (last name unknown) who was born January 11, 1811, and married on January 20, 1828. They had 6 kids together. Lucinda died December 20, 1840 in Benton County, TN. Not long after Lucinda's death, I beleve Joseph married Jane Ann. Jane Ann and Joseph had 7 children together. The children of Joseph and Lucinda are as follows: i.Jefferson born 1829 in Benton County, TN. ![]() 5.James Franklin Wiseman born 1831 in Camden, Benton County,TN was a House Carpenter. He married Marietta McCarrell who was born 1834 in TN. She was the daughter of Abner Mc Carrell and of Narrissa Orton. I believe they had more than one child, but I am not sure of their names at this time, except for my great great great grandmother. i.*Sarah Euginia (I have notes that state she ![]() 6.Sarah 'Geanie' married John Jacobs on October 26, 1878 in Rutherford, TN. Geanie was housewife and mom to 8 children. John was born May 18, 1855 in Kriesfritzler, Germany. (On their son, *James Lennord's birth certificate, the town name is listed as Knitz Frizler, Germany for John and it also states that his occupation to be a Mechanical Engineer. The notes from my Great Uncle Jimmy states that John's occupation was more of that as a Contractor. John's obit advises he assisted Thomas Edison in installing the first electric dynamo in Arkansas, and was also instumental in building the Short Line Railroad between Brinkley and Newport. Geanie died 1945 in Brinkley, Arkansas, and John died May 14, 1933 in Bald Knob, Arkansas.
