The following information was provided to me by my Dad, Hollis Crockett Rule,Sr. As was told to him by his father, Albert Brooks Rule.
*James Henry Brooks was born October 7, 1841 married Almira Jane Woodworth who was born January 10, 1846. They were married on September 1, 1867. James died January 10/15, 1924. He was 83 years old. Jane died May 9, 1920. she was 74 years old. James and Jane had the following children.
i.Charles Henry was born August 4,1869 in Ill. He married Della Smith. They were married September 22,1896. Charles died May 3,1953.
ii.*Lydia was born July 18, 1870 in Belville, St. Claire County,Ill. She married Charles Abel Rule who was born November 15, 1865/8, in Sherman City, Cheerokee County,Kansas. They were married April 6, 1892. Charles' parents were William Thomas Rule and Margaret Jane Fisher. Lydia died January 19, 1954 in Mannford/Creek County, Oklahoma. Charles died May 30, 1942 and is also buried in Mannford. They had 5 children. See next generation below.
iii.Albert was born July 22, 1872 in Ill. He married Mollie Dodge on November 1, 1894. Albert died October 24, 1957.
iv.Fred was born July 20, 1875 in Ill. He married Ruhamia White in 1906. He died August 28, 1939.
v.Lucina was born November 20, 1881 in Neosho County, Kansas. She married Cortes Wise on June 12, 1901. Lucina died November 1, 1941.
vi.Nena Leo was born June 6, 1891 in Neosho County, Kansas. She married Thomas J. Stewart on November 28, 1912.
*Lydia Brooks who married Charles Abel Rule had the following children.
i.*Albert Brooks Rule was born January 7, 1893 in Cherokee County, Kansas. He married Harriett Mae Crockett who was born February 11, 1889 in Thayer/Neosho County, Kansas. They were married August 30, 1928 in Parsons/Labette County, Kansas. For more info on these two, please visit my other pages for them.
ii.Joe Forest was born February 28, 1895 in Terlton, Oklahoma. He married Iva May Parrack on June 4, 1917 in Enid, Oklahoma. Joe died in February of 1980 in Kansas.
iii.Charles Kenneth was born February 11, 1898 in Okla. He married 1st to Lena Williams and had two kids with her, then divorced and married Dorothy Lambert and they had 1 child together. Charles died in august of 1976 in Okla.
iv.Chalmer Coleman was born March 4, 1901. He married Grace Bartley.
v. Lucina was orig. born Harrett and begged to change her name because it sounded too (pardon me if I dont say it correctly) much like a black persons name. So she chose Lucina. She was born February 5, 1907 in Creek County, Kansas. She married Floto J. Lund. They had one boy and one girl.
