| Homs is the 3rd largest city in Syria. It is known for its calmness (compared to Damascus and Aleppo) and its great breezy weather in the summer. One of the most famous historic Islamic sites in Syria is located in Homs which is the Mosque of Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed where the great sahaba is known to be buried (may Allah be pleased with him). |
