Bardock is the sire of the legendary Son Goku. Bardock looks exactly 
like Goku, except for a scar on his left cheek [similar to Yamcha's]. 
Bardock and his crew are low level soldiers working for Freeza, 
conquering planets. The day of his son's birth, Bardock and co. are on 
Planet Kanassa. There, a surviving inhabitant hits Bardock on the back 
of the neck, enabling him to see the future and fate of his race. Then, the 
alien is blasted and the scene closes. And so, Bardock is plagues with 
visions of Vegeta-sei blowing up and he sees Goku on Earth at several 
ages. Bardock, after having found his crew [best friend, Toma, included] 
killed by Dodoria, tries to convince the other saiya-jins to fight against 
Freeza. They laugh at him, so he tries himself. But when he reaches Freeza's 
ship, Freeza launches an enormous ball of ki. As the blast approaches 
Bardock, he realizes the meaning of his dreams. HE was not meant to kill 
Freeza. His son was. Bardock dies in the ball of ki that destroys Vegeta-sei. 
Bardock had, earlier, rejected his son because of his low power level, 2. 
The screaming low level infant is sent to Earth, with the mission to kill all 
the inhabitants. After Bardock's death, he speaks to Goku in the space pod. 
Goku is finally quiet and asleep, as his ship hurtles toward his destiny.
