Fred Neil Passed away Saturday, July 7, 2001 at his home in Summerland Key.  Fred is best remembered for his hit song, "Everybody's Talkin'" from the film "Midnight Cowboy." The song was nominated for an academy award. It was first performed, however, by Spanky and Our Gang, and appears on the album "Like to Get to Know You" under the title "Echoes." Fred was also involved with the Dolphin Project along with Rick O'Barry, Bobby Ingram, Oz and many others.
