Mexican Layer Dip

1/4 cup taco mix
1 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded lettuce
1 and 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 medium chopped tomato
1 small bundle chopped green onions
6 or 7 large black olives, diced (optional)

Combine sour cream and taco mix.
Spread in round shallow dish (about 12 inches)
Layer with lettuce, then cheese, then tomato, green onions and olives. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 
2 to 3 hours before serving.
Serve with tortilla chips.
