The road to hope leads through delayed
despair.
However much we want we must be wanting.
In time a time will come when time will end,
Reducing us to passing tones that blend
Their music brief with passions deep and haunting.
Years contain far more than we can bear.
Take pleasure, then, in what is simply there,
Holy inasmuch as we're aware.
Rapture is but rarely disappointing.
Each moment is a destiny undaunting,
Even as we labor to attend. |
