To daydream is to stir the pot of hope.
What we most want is up upon a stage,
Eliciting a self-vicarious pleasure.
Nor should we deprecate such homespun treasure,
The source of much delight at any age.
Years pass, yet dreams with dreamers still elope.
Fear not to dream, for dreams are not mere
leisure:
Imagination gives one room to cope,
Vivid in its scenes of love and rage
Even as it makes one's world to measure. |
