Born in 1922, young Rocky was raised in a black neighborhood in eastern Michigan where he learned how to scratch records in 1987 when he was 6 years old. The next year, when he was 12, he was adopted by Frau Miccinnica, an aspiring ballet teacher who taught young Rocky the true meaning of interpretive dance.
