Ain’t Like A Judge

Special Report by Seachange Malaysia on why whores are upset by comparison with judges.

Whores in Malaysia are up in arms over frequent comparisons between their profession and that of judges. While remarks such as “whorehouse judiciary” and “hooker judge” have entered into our common vocabulary of late, those practising the world’s oldest profession are upset and angry. One prostitute, known only as MM, summed up their general feeling:

“I think it’s most unfair to suggest that judges are like whores. I earn an honest living, unlike these judges. Further, we have certain standards of behaviour, not like these judges whose corruption, perversion and depravity have got no limit. I mean, there are certain things we won’t do, but is there anything a Malaysian judge won’t do to convict an innocent person?”

Her views are echoed by Ummi Hafilda Ali, a well-known, high-class call-girl catering mainly to the top-rung of Barisan Nasional politicians. She has this to say:

“The only similarity between myself and judges is that we both bend over backwards to service Mahathir and his cronies. But at least we do it in private, not like these judges who expose themselves publicly in court in the most blatant and shameless manner possible. It is no wonder that our country’s international reputation is so low and getting even lower.”

Another whore, who called herself Sugarbun, made the following distinction: “As prostitutes, we sell our bodies, but these judges regularly sell their souls. At least we can wash ourselves clean at the end of the day. But what can you do with a shit-stained soul?”

Many expressed the opinion that the judicial contortions during Anwar Ibrahim’s corruption and sodomy trials reached new levels of obscenity and filth which no whore can possibly equal. In particular, Augustine Paul, the judge who presided over Anwar’s corruption trial, appears to excite the greatest contempt among sex-workers. Said one prostitute who did not wish to be named:

“I would rather be compared to a goat rather than be compared to Augustine Paul. To call him a “hooker of a judge” is most insulting to all hookers. No hooker could ever have wallowed in the slime that he did.”

She suggested that the name “Augustine Paul” be given to the spittoon so that generations of Malaysians can spit at this most sickening and despicable of judges. Another wanted his “vomiting face” to be printed on all air-sickness bags carried by MAS. “It’s for people who want to throw up, but need a little encouragement.”

Sharmavellu, a KL street-walker, wondered why there should be a law punishing contempt of court but none against contempt of whores. “After all,” she said, “the Malaysian courts deserve only our deepest contempt, so everyone would be guilty of contempt if it comes to that. On the other hand, prostitutes provide valuable services to their clients.” She surmised that corrupt judges were “in bed” with equally corrupt law-makers.

Madam Ling, who operates one of Kuala Lumpur’s largest whorehouse at Brothel MCA had this to say:

“How can a judiciary be like a whorehouse? You might as well say that a herd of pigs is like a flock of swans. Really, people shouldn’t be so cruel and insensitive when using metaphors. I shall in future, black ban from my House, anyone who dares compare my business with the judiciary.”

She is supported by Azizan Abu Bakar, a person of low morals who frequents whorehouses: “I’ve been before a few judges before and, believe me, they are not like prostitutes even though they wear wigs and robes. The trouble with these judges is that they all have such dirty minds. For instance, they love hearing about sodomy and adultery. One of these perverts even asked for a semen-stained mattress to be dragged into court for him to examine.”

None of the judges contacted by Seachange Malaysia would comment.
