CCR Alentejo
Conhecido como celeiro de Portugal, o Alentejo espera (im)pacientemente a constru��o da Barragem do Alqueva, que se tornou um �cone local, um sin�nimo de esperan�a.
� que, aproveitando a �gua do rio Guadiana, espera-se que ela transforme esta regi�o em zona de regadio, trazendo prosperidade econ�mica ao mesmo tempo que se tenta inverter a desertifica��o da �rea.
Assim, o campo amarelo representa o cereal, a faixa azul o Guadiana, e a estrela a Barragem, espalhando a �gua pelos campos. 		Known as the barn of Portugal, Alentejo waits (im)patiently the building of the Alqueva Dam, which became a local icon, a synonym of hope. Using the water from the Guadiana river, it is hoped that it will transform this region in irrigated zone, bringing economic prosperity at the same time that it is attempted to invert the desertification of the area.
Thus, the yellow field stands for the cereal, the blue ribbon for the Guadiana, and the star for the Dam, spreading the water over the fields.

CCR Centro
  A base � vermelho sobre verde, para simbolizar o norte industrial e o sul agr�cola desta regi�o.
A faixa horizontal representa o rio Mondego. Nasce na Serra da Estrela, representadas pelo tri�ngulo castanho. A estrela vem do nome da Serra, e � branca por ser o �nico s�tio do pa�s onde neva regularmente. o rio corre para o Atl�ntico (faixa vertical), recurso natural desde sempre usado para a pesca e turismo, passando pela cidade de Coimbra, a negro pelas capas dos estudantes da sua famosa Universidade. 		The overall background is red over green, to symbolise the industrial north and the agricultural south of this region.
The horizontal stripe stands for the Mondego river. It comes from the Estrela (Star) mountains, represented by the brown triangle. The star stands for the name of the mountains, and is white for it is the only place in Portugal where it snows regularly. The river runs into the Atlantic (vertical stripe), natural resource used for fishery and tourism, while crossing the city of Coimbra, in the black for the students' capes of for its famous University.

LISBOA E VALE DO TEJO

CCR Lisboa e Vale do Tejo
O verde representa os f�rteis campos ribatejanos, atravessados pelo rio Tejo na forma de uma banda azul, que termina no Atl�ntico, a pala azul. A sua representa��o imp�e-se pela import�ncia no passado (daqui se partiu para os Descobrimentos) e no presente/futuro (pelo turismo que se desenvolveu na costa desta regi�o de Norte a Sul).
A �rea motropolitana de Lisboa � representada pelo c�rculo vermelho, bordeando o estu�rio do Tejo. 		The green stands for the fertile fields of Ribatejo, crossed by the river tagus in form of a blue band, which finishes in the Atlantic, the blue pale. Its representation is imposed by its importance in the past (the Discoveries started from here) and in the present/future (for the tourism that developed in the shores of this region from North to South).
The metropolitan area of Lisboa is representaed by the red circle, bordering the Tagus estuary.

A esfera armilar representa o Mundo, assente sobre o azul do mar, fazendo a liga��o aos Descobrimentos, afinal, quando a l�ngua portuguesa se come�ou a espalhar, precisamente por via mar�tima.
As cores remetem para as bandeiras dos pa�ses lus�fonos, enquanto o branco, que une as bandas, representa a paz que une esses povos. 		The armilliary sphere represents the World, over the blue of the sea, establishing the connection with the Discoveries, after all, the time when the Portuguese language started to spread, precisely by sea.
The colours are from the Portuguese-speaking countries flags, while the white, that unites the bands, stands for the peace that unites those people.

O significado dos elementos � o mesmo do anterior.
O desenho quer enfatizar a import�ncia dos Descobrimentos (esfera) no mundo desconhecido (negro), e do mar como ve�culo de propaga��o da l�ngua portuguesa pelo elemento pisc�cola formado pelas letras L e V (de Luso + Vex).
 The meaning of the elements is the same as above.
The design was meant to stress the importance of the Discoveries (sphere) on the unknown (black) world, and of the sea in the spreading of the Portuguese language by the fish-shaped element that is formed by the letters L and V (for Luso + Vex).

Como se pode depreender, a base deste desenho � a proposta 2.
Al�m da mudan�a na disposi��o dos elementos, este desenho foi pensado para ser exibido ao alto, onde adv�m uma forma humana. 		As it can be noticed, this design was based on proposal 2.
Apart form the changes in the layout, this design was thought to be displayed vertically, where a human shape arises.

Esta proposta � a mais simplista, talvez a menos inspirada, com certeza a mais sujeita a interpreta��es err�neas.
Isto porque pode ser entendida como dirigida apenas a Portugal e/ou Brasil, ou pior, como bandeira neo-colonialista, visto existir bandeira semelhante para um grupo de extrema-direita.
Seja como for, aqui est�, o povo que decida. 		This proposal is the more simple, maybe the less inspired, surely the most likely to be misinterpreted.
This because it can be understood as directed only to Portugal and/or Brasil, or worse, as a neo-colonialist flags, for there is a similar flag for a extreme-right wing group.
Anyway, it is here, let the people decide.

A inten��o foi criar um desenho atractivo a partir das letras L e V.
As cores prov�m das bandeiras dos pa�ses lus�fonos. 		The intention was to create an atractive design from the letters L and V.
The colours come from the Portuguese-speaking countries flags.

Das parti��es das bandeiras municipais portuguesas extrapolei:
4 para vila, 8 para cidade, 16 para regi�o, 32 para pa�s, 64 para mundo, com cores das bandeiras dos pa�ses lus�fonos. 		From the partitions of the Portuguese municipal flags, I extrapolated:
4 to town, 8 to city, 16 for region, 32 for country, 64 for world, with colours from the Portuguese-speaking countries flags.

O campo "azul da ONU" representa a organiza��o que suportou a cria��o e tenta manter a unidade do pa�s.
No centro as cores associadas com as comunidades (tribos?) do pa�s dentro do s�mbolo da Paz dos anos 60 (N�O a Mercedes-Benz) delineado a branco para refor�ar a ideia da paz. 		The UN-blue field stands for the organisation who supported the creation and strives to keep te country united.
In the centre, the colours associated with the communities (tribes?) of the country inside the device reminding the Peace symbol of the 60's (NOT Mercedes-Benz) lined in white to reinforce the idea of peace.

Mais uma vez as cores associadas com as comunidades dispostas em tri�ngulos convergentes, com um tri�ngulo suplementar � tralha pela paz. Again the colours associated with the communities placed as converging triangles, with a suplementar white triangle on the hoist for peace.

Desta vez, as cores est�o dispostas na t�pica tribanda eslava.
A fimbria��o a branco relembra a paz que deve existir entre os povos.
O dentilhado � tralha lembra o perfil montanhoso do pa�s. 		This time the cores are placed in the typical slavic triband.
The white fimbriations reminds the peace that must exist between the peoples.
The saw-like design on the hoist is a reminder of the mountainous profile of the country.
