The Schematics
Over the last few years I have been visiting the Seymour Duncan User Group Message Board. Occasionally guys will want a special schematic. I figured I worked hard on these so I might as well post them. Someone might find what they're looking for. I will be happy to draw one up special for you if you like. Just email me and give me some info. I will need to know: what kind of guitar you're using; what type of pickups, i.e. brand, configuration, single coil/humbucker, etc.; current controls; limitations, like money, no new holes, space(in control cavity); tell me what you NEED the guitar to do and what you would LIKE it to do, in other words "what you can and can't live without". I also have the schematic for the Jerry Donahue Tele but I'm not sure I can post it without problems. So if you want a copy I can email it to you.
The Switch

This mod is for Strats. What it does is make it so either the 2 or 4 "inbetween" positions can be either series or parallel.

Parts: 1 push-pull pot, or a DPDT mini switch.
No Position 4

This one is for a guitar with 3 humuckers. Could just as easily be anything with 4 leads. If you ignore the "D-B" connection you can apply this to 2-condutor pickups as well. Instead of the bridge/middle option you get the neck/bridge choice.

Parts: Yamaha 4-pole 5-way switch
Double Switch

If you have an H/S/H configuration, this one might be for you. If you wire your axe like this you can turn on the neck or the bridge pickup in any position with one switch. With the other switch you can split the humbuckers and effectivly turn your guitar into a Strat.

Parts: 2 push-pull pots, or DPDT mini switches
Neck and Bridge

But with a twist. In the neck position the bridge is in parallel. In the bridge position the neck is in series. The "2" position is the same but with the middle in parallel. All other positions are normal.

Parts: 1 push-pull pot, or a DPDT mini switch
All In One

Do you have one pot? Is it a volume? Do you want a tone pot but not a new hole in your precious baby? Then this is what you're looking for. Push it down it's a volume. Pull it up it's a tone. Use whatever cap you want. The one in the JPG is just and example.

Parts: 1 push-pull pot
For Vic

Vic wanted to wire his Strat similar to a Les Paul. He wanted to have 2 volumes, one for the neck, one for the bridge. But he also wanted to have the neck/bridge option but use his 5-way switch like normal.

Parts: 1 push-pull pot, 1 250k resistor
The Blend-O-Matic

You better be ready for some soldering. Jef wanted the neck to be in series in the bridge position w/ a coil tap. THEN he wanted the bridge to be in parallel in the neck position w/ a blend knob. It took some thinking but I finally got it. Designed for Strats but can be adapted.

Parts: 1 250k push/pull pot, 1 250k blend pot, 1 Yamaha 4-pole 5-way switch, a lot of wire :)
The Return Of Vic

Another variation. Vic wanted his Ibanez Talman to have the neck and bridge in series and the option of all series. It actually took a lot less time to figure out than I thought. In the bridge position the neck is in series. In the middle position they're all in series. I also have this for Strat.

Parts: 1 250k push/pull pot
The Jason Special

This one is a whopper. This is for a H/S/H guitar. With this you can put the Neck or Middle pickups out-of-phase. You can switch each of the pickups series/off/parallel. You can spin-a-split the bridge and neck pickups. Jason also wanted an instant tone cut in for tremolo type sounds. It might take some getting used to be will kick ass!

Parts: 3 on/off/on DPDT switches, 1 500k blend pot, 2 500k push/pull pots, and Jason wants to use a linear tone pot
Variations For Vic

A slight variation of the above with the B/M in series in the Bridge position and all series in the neck position. Click Here

Another idea Vic had. This time it's B/N in parallel in the bridge position and B/N in series in the neck position. Click Here

Parts: Still just one 250k push/pull pot
