*~ Is It The End, Or The Beginning? ~*

Today, as I contemplated which Bible lesson I should give, thoughts of the year 2000 came to mind.  Everyone is talking about the millennium.  Some believe the end is near and some do not.  To speak of such things -- to me seems to be a waste of time.&nnbsp; Oh sure, it is fun to banter about such ideas, but they have little to do with our salvation.  You see, it does not matter if 'the end’ comes tonight or in another thousand years.  We should live as if the end is coming one minute from now
Putting Jesus at the forefront of our thinking will give us the ability to handle anything that comes our way -- even ‘The End’.  I have noticed times when all of us, at one time or another, panic and forget that Jesus is right there beside us.  None of us are perfect.  Sometimes we let pride or self worth, anger or prejudices get in our way.  We forget that Jesus not only wants us in His kingdom -- He also wants our neighbor there as well --- and his neighbor --- and so on.  Jesus wants all of us.
When I think of 'the end’ my mind goes back to the beginning.  In the beginning God did more than just create; He made a promise.  He gave us an out.  He gave us salvation -- right from the beginning.  Jesus has always been there.  In the bright sunlight and in the shadows you will find Jesus.  You see, He made us another promise.  He said we would never be alone.  No matter what problems arise, Jesus is there with an answer.  There is no need to worry.  If you can accept the salvation Jesus has offered you, then there is no ‘end’.  There is only the beginning, and then forever with Jesus.  We only need to accept His offer of salvation.
