Sunrise - on a new day, God's way
*¤* The Rising Son *¤*
With time comes age, followed by wisdom and enlightenment.  Old ways are forgotten as new songs are learned.  Former friends are replaced by enemies whose faces are the same, but within their breasts beat hearts of polar ice.
There are paths I have traveled which I shall walk no more.  And companions I have known, whom I shall see nevermore.  Former friends have faded away with the setting of an old moon.  New found friends are brought to light with the rising of a new sun.  Passed away are fear of duty and labor and in their place is a lightened burden and a yoke of mercy and forgiveness.
Before the setting of the old moon, the name of Jesus was spoken.  But with the greeting of the morning sun came the embrace of the true Jesus.  Within that embrace, truth and light have dissipated all shadowy threats.  I have cast off the mantle of darkened desperation, and have been given the cloak of everlasting salvation -- a gift from the risen Son.
My steps are light as my heart sings a glorious song, and my soul is comforted, for now I dwell in the garden of Jesus’ eternal love.
