RE: BUILD YOUR OWN TELESCOPE KITS FOR SCHOOLS

We are established dealers in telescopes and accessories. Currently there has been a lot of enthusiasm about the "BUILD YOUR OWN TELESCOPE" line of product. This enthusiansm has led to the development of a special schools kit. The kit assumes that the prospective builder has no experience in glassworking or any optical skills, but does have average manual dexterity and access to some common hand tools and a work area.

The "BUILD YOUR OWN TELESCOPE" kit consists of all the materials and services needed to enable the builder to complete a high quality astronomical reflector telescope. Starting from scratch, your polished and tested mirror will be to commercial quality, and you will have learnt all of the skills of parabolic mirror making, and most of all, you will have the satisfaction of completing a project that is quite out of the ordinary.

The finished product will be ideal for viewing thousands of sky objects including the Moon, the major planets, phases of Venus, star fields of the Milky Way, deep sky nebulae, galaxies and to separate double stars.

The kits are easy to make and are very educational, with the end product being a great learning tool where students will learn astronomy and associated sciences.

The "BUILD YOUR OWN TELESCOPE" kits have been successful in the eastern states and are now being offered in South Australia.

The size available is 8" (200mm) which has the superior light gathering power and higher magnification capabilities.
