Blackpool Promenade Progress

[1] Tracks laid and looking North up the Prom. The Balloon is at the Tower Stop.
[3] North Pier branch to Stockport completes the circuit.
[4] The Permenant way laid between the rails.
[5] Cobbles to Paving as Portland Street Manchester is blended into Blackpool Promenade. The END of 400 hours of scratching cobbles individually by hand.
[6] Although actually in Portland Street Manchester, Blackpools Trams return via this changeover.
[7] Paved tracks at the Tower Stop.
[8] Blackpools return changeover below which are two switch panels. the bank on the left isolate the dead ends (London Road {x2}, Aytoun Street, North Pier {southbound}) and Manchester/Blackpool {northbound} Isolated section. The right hand bank are over-rides for the automatic stops on the Prom ( each end and Tower stop Northbound, plus either side of Tower stop Southbound.)
[9] Despite tarmac looking black, it doesn't look right here.
[11] Construction of the footbridge across the promenade begins as well as transplanted and painted traction poles.
[15] Footbridge completed and fencing painted. Note the different height of the two balloons (see text ).
[16] Looking down on the finnished footbridge and note the colour of the tarmac now, also brick edging to track and overhead.
[17] Three sets of templates drawn and printed on the computer. Top left are the seating shelters, below left are the franchised kiosks and to the right are the tramstop shelters.
[19] Kiosks and shelter templates plus Information kiosk awaiting roofing.
[25] Window detailing applied to info kiosk and roof frame in situ.
