A Nightmare on Elm Street

Heather Langenkamp as Nancy

Description:

Director Wes Craven's best is an imaginative variation on the early 80's teen slasher formula. Four teens are tormented by identical dreams involving a disfigured fiend in a fedora, striped sweater, and razor tipped glove. When all her friends start dying, smart girl Langenkamp discovers the dream monster to be one Fred Krueger, a child molester and murderer who was torched by the neighborhood parents when released from jail on a technicality. In order to defeat the vengeful nightmare killer, Heather must try to bring him out of her dreams into the real world. The best of the popular series, only the "setting things up for the sequel" ending mars an otherwise perfect tale.
