Barbara Shelley as Anthea Zellaby
A small community in England is isolated by a strange invisible shield and its inhabitants afflicted by prolonged sleep. Later, the village's pregnant women give birth to hollow-eyed children who possess irresistible hypnotic powers and grow up to dominate adults, especially their fathers.
